How Much Does a Website Cost in Salem and Elampillai?
What a business website costs in Salem and Elampillai, what changes the price, which type suits local shops and clinics, and what to budget for after launch.

“How much will a website cost?” is the first question almost every business owner in Elampillai and Salem asks — and the answers they get can range wildly, from a few thousand rupees to several lakhs. The difference is rarely explained.
This guide explains what actually drives the price of a business website, what each type of website is for, and what to budget for after launch, so you can compare quotes with confidence.
The short answer
The cost depends on what the website needs to do, not how it looks. For reference, these are our own fixed, published prices:
- Single Page Website — ₹3,600. Best for new businesses, single offers, events and ad campaigns.
- Static Website — ₹7,000. Best for established local businesses with steady, rarely changing content.
- Dynamic Website — ₹15,000. Best for businesses that need listings, search, bookings or stored data.
- Ecommerce Website — ₹13,000. Best for shops and brands ready to sell products online.
Whoever you work with, the pages and features included for a price should be written down before any work starts. That single step prevents most website disputes.
What actually changes the price
- Number of pages. One page is quicker to plan, write and test than ten.
- Features that need logic. Search, filters, booking requests, logins and connections to other tools take more time to build and test than pages of information.
- Selling online. A store needs product pages, a cart, checkout, payment gateway setup and order handling.
- Content. Good photos and clear text make a big difference. If you need help writing or organising content, ask whether that is included.
- Custom design versus a reused template. A cheap quote often means a template with your logo swapped in. That can be fine — just know what you’re buying.
The four types of website, explained
Single page website (₹3,600)
Everything on one scrolling page: who you are, what you offer, why customers should choose you and how to contact you. It suits a new business, a single product or event, or a landing page for an advertising campaign. The limitation is search: one page can only rank for a narrow set of topics.
Static website (₹7,000)
Several fixed pages — typically Home, About, a page for each service and Contact. Static sites load fast, are secure and need little maintenance. Because each service gets its own page, they are also the usual foundation for local SEO. You can’t edit them through a dashboard; changes are made by your developer.
Dynamic website (₹15,000)
Pages or features generated from data. Add a record — a property, a course, a doctor, a vehicle — and the site creates its page and updates listings. Dynamic sites can include search, booking requests, logins or a connection to Google Sheets. More moving parts means more to plan and maintain.
Ecommerce website (₹13,000)
An online shop with a product catalogue, cart, checkout and online payments, managed from a dashboard. You will need product photos and descriptions, a payment gateway account, and a plan for delivery and returns.
What local businesses usually choose
These are common starting points — your own needs may differ:
- A new shop, tailor, tutor or home business: a single page website, alongside a Google Business Profile.
- A clinic, school, coaching centre or manufacturer with several services: a static website, with one page per service.
- A saree seller or weaver in Elampillai who wants to take orders online: an ecommerce website, often with a WhatsApp button on each product for buyers who prefer to chat.
- A dealer, distributor or institute with listings, stock or bookings: a dynamic website.
Not sure which fits? You can compare all four on our website development page, or read whether you need a website at all if you already sell through Instagram or WhatsApp.
Costs after launch
The build is only part of owning a website. Ask about these before you decide:
- Domain name — renewed every year. Make sure it is registered in your business’s name.
- Hosting — where the website lives. Simple sites can be hosted at low cost; stores and dynamic sites may need more.
- Maintenance — updates, backups and fixes, essential for dynamic and ecommerce sites. See our website maintenance service.
- Payment gateway fees — for online stores, charged per transaction by the gateway provider.
- Marketing — a website does not bring visitors on its own. Budget for local SEO or digital marketing if you want steady enquiries.
How to compare quotes fairly
- Ask for the list of pages and features in writing, and compare like with like.
- Check whether domain, hosting and content writing are included or separate.
- Ask who owns the website and domain once you have paid.
- Ask to see live websites the developer has built, and open them on your phone.
- Ask what happens after launch — who makes changes, and what it costs.
